The fellowship is meant to bring together the country’s best talent. If you love our vision and have a good body of work to back your application, we encourage you to apply. Given below are some examples of roles that are currently available. The list is not exhaustive and is only meant to illustrate the breadth of opportunities available at T-Works under the Fellowship program.

Research & Development

One of the most important functions at T-Works is deciding what capabilities to introduce and/or upgrade. We lower barriers for prototyping using the best prototyping infrastructure available on the planet. Candidates in this function will work to bring some of the best machines and cutting edge capabilities on the planet to T-Works. Responsibilities include primary and secondary research on machines, capabilities-to-machines mapping, comparative analysis between makes and models, drafting equipment specifications. A general obsession with machines and depth of knowledge in one or more fabrication techniques is a must!

Engineering & Design

Engineers and designers will work on end-to-end product development. Examples of products built at T-Works can be found in our Project Showcase. Some of these were developed for partners and clients while others were initiated by team members purely out of the passion for making. Along with the various engineering and design streams, roles including design-for-manufacturing

Prototyping Services

T-Works provides online access to its facilities through which users send us their designs. T-Works then verifies, fabricates, and ships the parts to them. Through these prototyping services, our user base is not constrained by proximity to the facility. Roles here include customer interaction, service design, CAD reviews, automation, and quality control.

Operations & Management

T-Works is India’s largest prototyping centre with capabilities across materials and processes. Managing plant operations is critical to realise the full potential of the space and equipment. Roles include plant management, shop floor supervision, equipment operations, safety, quality control, fabrication and so on. Different shops from 3D printing to wood working will require their own set of experts to operate and maintain the space.

Media & Content

Whether it’s the team, machines, products, or our users, T-Works is brimming with stories waiting to be told. Some of these stories will inspire the next generation of makers and drive the culture of innovation forward. Roles include content creation in the form of writing, scripting videos, photography and videography, and editing.

Business Development

Though T-Works is a not-for-profit company, generating revenue to cover operations is important for the long-term sustainability of the institution. To achieve this, the business development team proposes programs, strategies, monitors customer success, is part of raising capital for new equipment and infrastructure, and prepares reports and presentations.

Procurement & Inventory

The purchase team works hard in the background to enable day to day prototyping as well as procuring crores worth equipment. There is breadth and depth of experience to be had in roles that include, sourcing, inventory management, retail store management, and equipment procurement.
